Garcia**, president, owner and founder of Irvine-based Pinnacle Consulting Group, to its [Board of Directors](https://info.mindresearch.org/about/who/). Garcia’s previous board service includes a presidential appointment to the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, where he chaired the audit and finance committee, and a gubernatorial appointment to the State Workman’s Compensation Board, where he served on the investment committee. Additionally, he chaired the fundraising and sponsorship committee of the American Cancer Society, and served on the board of the YMCA of Orange County. A leader in the Hispanic community, Garcia is also a board member for the Orange County Hispanic 100, and previously co-chaired the National Latino Coalition Foundation, Por Mi Futuro. He has been honored for his work as a mentor to individual gang members through Santa Ana’s Project PRIDE program. “Mr. Garcia’s personal commitment to improving children’s lives and developing a stronger future workforce make him a strong fit with MIND Research Institute’s mission,” said **Ted Smith, Chairman and CEO of MIND Research**. “We’re very pleased to add him to our roster of distinguished business leaders.” MIND Research Institute is an education nonprofit that provides a [game-based computer math program](https://info.mindresearch.org/play), ST Math®, to schools along with teacher training and year-round educational support.
