Yes! [Christine Byrd](https://www.linkedin.com/in/christine-byrd/) and MIND’s Chief Data Science Officer [Andrew Coulson](https://www.mindresearch.org/speakers/andrew-coulson) acknowledged the unique challenges that students face in their learning process. A recent analysis of [ST Math students in Texas](https://2024.mindresearch.org/hubfs/Operations/Collateral/Research%20and%20Results/Texas%20(Subgroups)/RLL_3Yr_Sped_TX_1617_Dec1.pdf?hsLang=en-us&__hstc=142723050.3a0bdadc330ffb85d4109c27643c470b.1559601695224.1568847035163.1568849440676.266&__hssc=142723050.2.1568849440676&__hsfp=2233295263) found dramatic improvements on percent of students meeting proficiency on the state’s STAAR test school performance metrics for students in the special education subgroup. The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Technology released a [Learning Technology Effectiveness report](https://tech.ed.gov/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Learning-Technology-Effectiveness-Brief.pdf)based on over fifty research articles. This report found that learning with technology is enhanced when students are engaged in key strategies that are found in ST Math. [Calli Wright](https://www.mindresearch.org/speakers/calli-wright), Education Engagement Manager, shared [4 Game Mechanics Driving Higher Achievement](https://blog.mindresearch.org/blog/game-mechanics-math) in math that align with ST Math. These game mechanics help students to build a deep conceptual understanding of math that lasts beyond testing season.
